I’m an Australian creative photographer from Sydney with extensive experience across multiple specialties. Welcome to my current website which attempts to condense over 20 years worth of photography, both internationally and domestically in Australia.
Starting my photography journey by assisting established photographers in Sydney I moved over to Perth in 2000 to pursue magazine work. Editorial work began at Scoop Magazine, a leading local title. I was assigned to shoot much of the food, portraits and lifestyle all over the city. I also worked part-time at the Sunday Times Newspaper shooting the lifestyle lift-outs such as Home.
Homes and Living Magazine, also published in Perth, assigned me to shoot covers and local editorial including portraits, food and interiors. Restless for change I went north to Darwin in the Northen Territory to pursue Advertising and Government brochures ( and crocodile shoots! ) this then led to a stint in Europe in 2006. Based in popular Barcelona for over two years proved to be a good idea.
Travel and Leisure, the Australian edition, turned out to be a very regular customer while working from Barcelona. Editorial shoots in much of France and Spain began with a large focus on food, restaurants and travel. A fun assignment was going to the Aeolian Islands in Sicily. Other fabulous trips I undertook for Travel and Leisure were shoots in cities such as Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Bologna, Palma de Mallorca, Lyon, Nice, Paris and Dublin.
Conde Nast Traveller from London assigned me for a lift-out booklet on Spain and Gourmet Traveller from Australia sent me to Valencia and Madrid. It was all an exciting and enriching experience.
In 2009 I relocated back to Australia and worked on editorial shoots for in-flight and travel magazines such as Jetstar Magazine, Ink Magazines, Virgin Australia, Philippine Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas Magazine, Conde Nast Traveller, Travel & Leisure South East Asia, SBS Feast Magazine, Delicious Magazine and Singapore Women’s Weekly.
Returning to Perth once again..I worked for a gourmet food magazine called Cravings, we won awards as a top food title with my food images. I also worked with Western Australia Tourism on international editorial in Margaret River and Perth. Many of my images were published in Forbes online among other notable international travel websites and magazines.
In 2015 I landed the Cover of Conde Nast Traveller with a stock photo of a resort in Bali.
